My race week for the Japanese Formula 3 Championship round 3 and 4 in Sportsland SUGO ended up with 5th place in all qualifying and race sessions.
SUGO is one of my favourite tracks where I won the 1st place in the FIA-F4 series last year, and this year my team has been getting more competitive after the last F3 race in Suzuka. So I was feeling highly motivated to be here again.
However the race week turned out to be a tough one for us from the practice sessions by lack of pace in an essential part. We worked very hard to improve the situation, but could not change the difficult weekend after all.
As a driver, I kept pushing and made consistent pace with the car. At least we brought some points to home and should be positive about that.
I really appreciate all the efforts that the team staffs have made, but this place should never be our regular position. We still have a lot of things to work out.
I’m prepared to do everything I could do to bring a victory to the ThreeBond Racing.
I keep doing my best to show a good race to everyone who supports me.
Thank you again, and looking forward to seeing you soon.
