Reports from 2 drivers supported by EXGEL Motorsport.
Both drivers did a remarkable job in this round, quite a contrast to previous tough rounds in Honjo and Mobara.
Sotaro Mimura took full advantage of the wet conditions and grabbed a victory in round 7, followed by steady 2nd place in round 8.
Shunsuke Minagi fought through tough battles and seized his best results with 6th and 5th.
Ren Sato, who will be participating in the the 2018 CIK-FIA World Championship soon, also secured 2nd and 4th position steadily, although he struggled with pace throughout the weekend. The defending champion now takes a lead in the championship of this year.
Please keep your eye on the drivers supported by EXGEL Motorsport.

#7 Sotaro Mimura

Time Trial: P3
Round 7 – Qualifying: P4, Final: P1
Round 8 – Qualifying: P1, Final: P2

Report:
Finally I did it! My first victory this season in round 7!
Everything went as planned from time trial to all sessions in Sugo, with the best performances that I could do.
In the long interval for about 2 months after the difficult week in Mobara, I had worked pretty hard with my team and YOKOHAMA members to improve our performances.
Words can’t express my feelings of achievement after working extremely hard with them.
Now onto the final round in Suzuka, focusing on the series title from 3rd position.
I will dedicate everything I got to win the championship that I have been dreaming of!

#43 Shunsuke Minagi

Time Trial: P5
Round 7 – Qualifying: P13, Final: P6
Round 8 – Qualifying: P2, Final: P5

Report:
The weather was too unstable to set a strategy.
Under the tricky conditions, I had good pace both in the 2 races and scored a lot of points.
Finally, I have reached the start line.
I will do my best to get better results in the final round.
