Total 110 drivers from all over the world started their engines for free practice sessions in the CIK-FIA World Championship.
It’s been quite busy 2 days for Ren SATO, testing 5 types of chassis, differently tuned engines and some new sets of tires.
Ren evaluated every setting accurately to find out the best ones for the weekend.
Although it was his first drive here on Kristianstad Kart Track, Ren adjusted himself quickly and recorded decent laps quite close to the top group.
Unfortunately the last session ended up with a trouble with the carburetor, but Ren did his job perfectly to make the free practice day productive.
Comments from Ren SATO:
I’ve never experienced such a busy practice day!
The procedures of testing were completely different from what I do in Japan, but I could adjust myself to it easily because our communications went quite well.
Although we encountered some difficulties, we finished the practice days on good form and I’m feeling confident about competing against top-level drivers.
I appreciate all the supports from the team, and I promise to do everything I could do this weekend.
The only concern for me is the weather… what happens if we get rain before time trial! I’ve never drove on the wet truck here!
Anyway I will do my best, so please stay tuned.
