Finally the long wait is over!
The Porsche Carrera Cup Japan, my absolute target this year just started.
I must admit that I still haven’t maximized the full potential of the cup car, and have been trying to learn in every corner and lap adjusting myself and the settings.
Somehow I managed to keep the fastest lap from the free practice session.
Qualifying went well, having the speed to get double pole position for race 1 and race 2, however I exceeded tack limits and was qualified P3 for race 1 and P2 for race 2.
My start in race 1 was perfect and moved up to P2, but I didn’t have the pace to catch the top and ended up with P2.
It was really frustrating, but I learnt a lot from the top driver.

Race 2 started with full wet condition. Despite my first experience to drive the cup car on wet track at Okayama International Circuit, I enjoyed the clean battles with the top driver and I think it was entertaining too.
Finally I managed to overtake him and made my first career PCCJ win, thanks to the team’s hard work.

It goes without saying a huge thank you to Porsche Japan for this opportunity. Also thanks to the team, all my sponsors and fans for the support.
This year’s overall class is quite competitive compared with previous years, but I’m sure that I can perform just as race 2 trying to maximize my skills and machinery settings.
The next round will be held during the “Golden Week” at the Fuji Speedway.
I will dedicated myself to the job.
