It was a perfect weekend at Suzuka Circuit!
I set the fastest lap in every free practice session, took a double-pole with a new track record and 2 consecutive victories with a fastest lap.
I couldn’t expect anything more!
Thank you for the team who had worked pretty hard to make a competitive car for me, especially after the tough week in the previous round at Fuji.

I feel extremely happy to win at Suzuka.
I came back from Europe and restarted my racing career here in 2016, and learned a quite a lot as a “student” of the Suzuka Circuit Racing School.
Although I’m no longer a driver under the HONDA Junior Programme, Suzuka is still a special place for me.
That’s why I particularly thrilled at this win, and feel grateful to everyone who have supported me.
Also, it was truly a special moment to take a win in front the great fans in Suzuka.

The entire weekend was a fantastic experience and fun, except the crazy restart after the safety car period in round 6!
Now I have moved to the top of the points table, and of course, I keep pushing to seize the title.
