The Japanese Karting Championship 2020 OK Category finally took place at Auto Paradise Gotenba after a long halt due to the spread of COVID-19.
The inaugural race for the OK Category at APG started with uncertainty in stormy weather.
Yuto Nomura, the champion driver in the Next Cup Series for 2 consecutive years, also won the Japanese Karting Championship FS-125 Category in his debut year, has made a debut in the flagship category.
Shunsuke Minagi participates in the category this year again after successful 2019 season.
Yuto and Shunsuke had the pace to compete until Saturday on wet track with Dunlop wet tires.
Sunny Sunday turned out to be quite difficult for the 2 drivers due to lack of competitiveness with their materials.
Not the weekend they expected, but at least we were abele to get back to the track and should be happy with that.
We hope for brilliant performances of the DNC drivers in the next round.
