Comment:
Super Formula round 2 took place at Suzuka Circuit. My team had kept good results there, and I was feeling confident for the race weekend.
The car felt good in FP, and I was able to record fastest in every session in qualifying, taking my first career pole position in Super Formula. I was also confident in long-run, expecting for a good result in the race.
In the start of the race, I kept a lead in the first lap and managed to make an enough gap behind, keeping pace in every lap. However, I had a sudden tire blowout in the right rear in lap 9 then my race was over. My first win was almost in my hand, but things were not so easy.
I hope I can keep the pace in the next round, and of course I will keep positive and do my best to win. Thank you for your warm support.

Comment:
Qualifying day of Suzuka round was my birthday, and I felt grateful to have so many wishes!
I managed to get P5 in qualifying although I didn’t have speed, and was able to take P3 podium in the race.
It would be great if this result could be in return for the hard work of the team, since the preparation of the no.6 car and all the sincere efforts to improve the set-up.
My participation as a replacement driver has ended in the Suzuka round. Thank you to DOCOMO TEAM DANDELION RACING, HONDA and everyone involved for giving me the precious opportunity. Also I appreciate the warm support from my sponsors and fans.
I don’t have any particular plan right now, but I will be always ready to drive.
